  • Robert Abrant, MSEE, PE has served in technical and managerial R&D roles for complete product life cycles, from exploration of markets, technologies, trends, and competative solutions to system specification, architecture, design, test, production, and field validation.His experience encompasses ASIC, FPGA, PCB, and embedded processor design, and he has taught courses in electronics, fiber optics, industrial controls, and wireless technologies. Bob is a senior member of IEEE and serves on the Board of Directors of the IEEE Chicago/Rockford Consultants Network.

All three individual corporations sell passenger transportation services, tour services, and destination packages to the domestic and international tour and travel market. He has been with the corporations for over 20 years and has been involved with each and every aspect of business operations. He has helped to grow a small, single entity business into 5 separately thriving business units, 3 of which are deeply rooted in the hospitality and tourism industry.

He has also worked on American Electric Power’s Power Plant Outage maintenance projects and Constellation Energy Clean Air Projects. Dr. Agege holds a Doctorate in Business Administration with a concentration in International Business from Argosy University.Dr. Agege also holds a postgraduate Certificate in Transnational Oil, Gas and Energy Law. Dr. Agege is a Stanford Certified Project Manager and holds the Project Management Institute Certified Project Management Professional credential. Dr Agege enjoys teaching and has held the position of Adjunct Professor of Risk Management at the Colorado Technical University, Steam Plant Operations instructor at the Los Angeles Technical College and also taught Project Management classes at Bellevue University.

She has almost thirty years experience working with gifted learners, educators of gifted students, and administrators. Beth has published articles and academic programs centered on gifted education. She is currently the Technology Chair and the Orange Region Educator Representative California Association for Gifted and serves on the Orange County Council for Gifted. Her expertise includes differentiated curriculum and instruction, technology in education, and engaging students. A lifelong learner, Beth is constantly reading and learning about new and revisited academic strategies and concepts.   • Joanna Ardalan, J.D., is an attorney with One LLP. She represents clients in intellectual property cases, including copyright, trademark, unfair competition, patent, trade secret, and idea theft cases. Her work includes litigating cases in trial and appellate courts and in arbitrations through the Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers (ICANN). Jo teaches “Litigating a Copyright Case” at Loyola Law School, where she is an adjunct professor. She also serves on the Board of the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association, for which she oversees the Copyright & Trademark Committee.

  • Amy Baghramian, J.D., graduated from U.C. Davis School of Law, Order of the Coif, in 2002, where she was an editor on Law Review. Her background is in civil litigation with an emphasis on insurance coverage, however she has previously practiced family law. Her most recent work has focused on preparing coverage opinions for insurance industry clients, but she has extensive experience drafting discovery and pretrial motions. Baghramian currently is an independent contractor. She is an active member of the California State Bar and is a member of the Orange County Bar Association.

She is also the co-author, with Dr. Moore of Purdue University, of an introductory statistics textbook, "The Practice of Statistics in the Life Sciences," now in its second edition.

  • Linda A. Barlow, CFP®, CEBS, has been in private practice since 1982. She manages a fee-only financial planning and portfolio management practice in the heart of Orange County, Santa Ana. The firm provides customized financial planning services to individual clients on a fee-only basis. She has degrees in Accounting and Financial Planning and earned her Certificate of Financial Planning in 1988. She is very active in the Financial Planning Association, having served as President three times and continues to work on several committees. She is also a member of NAPFA.   • Upon graduation from the University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA), Blaze Bhence started his career as an Electrical Engineer for Xerox Corporation. Having worked in manufacturing, Quality control, engineering, board and chip design, and industrial design areas, Blaze migrated to the field to enter field support and sales roles. Simultaneously, he completed his MBA from the University of Southern California (USC). Blaze has since managed numerous sales teams, branches and became the Marketplace Vice President for a publicly traded company. All teams and companies were in the imaging and technology industries, often in the upcoming technology arena. Instrumental in the initial phases of AED proliferation, Blaze joined the PrecisionMeds team for the inception of the next generation of pharmaceutical advancements. Blaze is a Reserve Lieutenant for the Orange County Sheriff’s Dept., as well as volunteers for the spcaLA and mentors student athletes for G.A.M.E.

She has prosecuted a variety of crimes such as driving under the influence, theft, possession of narcotics, domestic violence, gang crimes, kidnapping, rape, child molestation and assault with a deadly weapon. She has conducted preliminary hearings and evidentiary motions as well as jury trials. She has conducted over 50 jury trials. She is currently assigned to the Sexual Assault unit where more than half of her caseload includes defendants facing a “life “sentence.   • Sherrie Kaplan, Ph.D., M.P.H. is Assistant Vice Chancellor of Healthcare and Professor of Medicine at the University of California, Irvine (UCI), School of Medicine. She is also Executive Co-Director, Center for Health Policy Research at UCI. She came to UCI in 2003 from Tufts University School of Medicine and the Harvard School of Public Health. Dr. Kaplan received her undergraduate, M.P.H., M.S.P.H. and Ph.D. from UCLA, the latter in a joint program between public health and measurement psychology. In her distinguished career as a leading social scientist in medicine, Dr. Kaplan has pioneered a number of areas of research. She has done ground-breaking research demonstrating that patients can be taught to participate effectively in medical decisions with positive effects on patients' health outcomes. Her work on the application of psychometric techniques to the assessment of performance of varying levels of the healthcare system, from healthcare organizations to individual physicians, has made her a national expert on this current and controversial topic. Well known for her work in the development of measures of the quality of technical and interpersonal care, health status and quality of life, particularly for vulnerable populations, she is now working in an innovative project among minority populations using community-based minority 'coaches' to train patients to participate effectively in chronic disease care, and is developing and modifying measures for assessing its impact on quality of care and quality of life. Dr. Kaplan was also a member of the IOM committee that generated the recently released report, "Cancer Care for the Whole Patient: Meeting Psychosocial Health Needs".
