Art & Cultural Appreciation
Increase your value to your employer, your clients and yourself. Enroll in a UC
Irvine Extension Certificate or Specialized Studies Program. What's the difference?
A certificate program is more extensive than a specialized study program. Both will
immerse you in a particular field of study, though you will hone your knowledge
and skills even further with a complete certificate.
Because each program is developed in consultation with advisory committees made
up of industry leaders in their respective fields, you can be sure the curriculum
provides you with the latest in cutting-edge ideas, information, and practical skills
that you can use immediately on the job. Some certificates can be completed in less
than a year. Several enable you to sit for accreditation exams or meet the requirements
for professional, California-mandated continuing education.
To receive a certificate, you need to declare your candidacy before you complete
the coursework. Many programs have unique certificate candidacy forms that you can
find on each program's web page. However, here is the standard Certificate Candidacy
form.
Note: In most cases, it is not necessary to enroll in a Certificate Program in order
to take individual classes.
