In today’s competitive and image-conscious corporate marketplace, it often takes more than just traditional business skills to “close the deal.” More and more business is being conducted over meals and in social settings, and wine education is becoming an increasingly important skill.
Un-Cork a University-Level Experience
UC Irvine Extension has developed the first and only university-level corporate wine studies program in Southern California. The program has been custom designed with structured, curriculum-based professional wine courses to help executives enhance their wine knowledge and use wine as a business tool. UC Irvine Extension will offer participants continuing education credits for its corporate wine studies courses.
Nationally Recognized Sommelier and Instructor
Marlene Rossman, M.B.A, M.A. is UC Irvine Extension’s corporate wine studies consultant and instructor for the program. Rossman also is president of Manhattan Wine Seminars, LLC, formerly taught wine education at New York’s French Culinary Institute, and develops custom wine education programs for Fortune 500 corporations. She is the wine columnist and managing editor for Wine Country International Magazine, is a frequent judge at international wine competition, and is currently the Sommelier at Laguna Culinary Arts, located in the heart of Laguna Beach.
Full-Bodied Curriculum
All classes are structured, curriculum based professional wine education classes for executives, and can be custom-designed to focus on any company’s particular needs.
