Conflict Management & the
Use of Alternative Dispute Resolution


The Conflict Management and the Use of Alternative Dispute Resolution certificate program is currently being re-evaluated and participant’s feedback is greatly appreciated.

Discover the array of alternative processes available to help disputing parties reach agreement.  Enhance your conflict resolution skills through role-plays and interactive exercises designed to give you practice diffusing sticky situations effectively. Program participation ensures you will:

  • Understand how to use negotiation, mediation, neutral fact finding, and arbitration processes
  • Enhance communication skills
  • Merge resolution and communication techniques to help disputing parties consider new options and reach resolution

Certificate Requirements

A certificate is awarded upon completion of four required courses and two electives, each with a grade of “C” or better. This program entails a minimum of 155 hours of instruction. After you have completed all requirements, you may request to receive your official certificate by completing the Request for Certificate.
