Preparing California Teachers for Success

The University of California, Irvine Extension is committed to delivering relevant application based programs that are designed to "teach the teachers." In support of the University of California, “California Teach” initiative, UC Irvine Extension has custom designed programs to support the development of highly qualified teachers. These programs focus on techniques to increase subject matter competency, content knowledge, academic literacy, and content pedagogy, as well as tailored programs to develop new leaders among teachers and administrators who serve to shape the success of individual schools and districts.

Our University of California-quality programs are delivered on-campus, online and onsite at districts. Our programs are taught by industry-respected, practicing professionals and are approved by the University of California, Irvine Education Department.

UC Irvine Extension is recognized for its ability to offer consultation, specialized teacher training and staff development programs to meet the needs of schools, districts and the state —at the school site.
