 Overview
While today’s Web application development tools help make web design easy and quick, many users are limited in their ability to customize or troubleshoot their websites because they are not familiar with web design fundamentals or are unaware of good design practices.
This flexible, fully-online specialized studies program provides an understanding of the fundamental building blocks of web site creation and design including tools, to add functionality, handle web forms, and enable image processing to enhance appearance. This essential knowledge is ideally suited for those designing a web presence.
Specialized Studies Award Requirements
Students must complete 90 hours of coursework (9.0 quarter units) with a grade of “C” or higher in each course in order to receive the Specialized Studies Award in Web Design and Development. Individual courses can be taken and pass/fail and “no grade” options are available for those not requesting the Specialized Studies Award.
