Prepare for College Eligibility Today
The University of California, Irvine is offering instructor-led online advanced placement (AP) and honors courses to high school students. UC Irvine’s online AP and honors course content was originally developed by the University of California UC College Prep Online (UCCP).
UC Irvine’s online AP and honors courses are approved by the University of California and satisfy the a-g subject requirements that most 4-year colleges and universities require for admission. These courses also help students become eligible for admission to the University of California, California State University, and most private colleges and universities. Our courses are accepted by leading high schools such as the Education Program for Gifted Youth (EPGY) Online High School at Stanford University.
Our courses have been faculty-developed and are designed to engage students utilizing multi-media including video, flash presentations, games, voiced narrative, photos and text. Each course is offered online and is instructor-led so that students can interact with the instructor and peer students just like in a classroom.
Beginning Fall Semester 2008, UC Irvine will be offering 1-semester and 2-semester instructor-led online honors and AP courses to help high school students prepare for study at a four-year college or university in California. Courses may include:
- AP Calculus AB (semesters I & II)
- AP Calculus BC (semesters I & II)
- AP U.S. Government and Politics
- AP U.S. History (semesters I & II)
- Honors Sociology
