Is your career a meaningful part of a satisfying, self-directed life?  Are you looking to improve your career or get started on a new chapter in your work life?

Career Planning & Life Planning Programs is a non-profit community service organization dedicated to helping men and women in our community to effectively manage their careers and successfully navigate career transitions. We provide a professional, supportive environment with high-quality services and resources that include a variety of career services and career planning courses.

Registering For Courses

Center Resources

All of our programs include the use of our Center Resources, located in the beautiful Rachel Long Morgan Women’s Opportunities Center on the UCI Campus. As a client, computers with internet access are available for your use in our computer lab. You can review hundreds of job listings in our comfortable lobby, or relax on our quiet outdoor garden patio while reading any of the numerous career planning books and reference materials available in our library.

Career Management "Mini-Workshops"

  • Resume Development
Your resume should tell a compelling story about the skills, experience, and results you bring to potential employers. Learn how to develop a professional, attention-grabbing document that gets you an interview.
  • Interviewing
Script your answer to “Tell me about yourself.” Learn to effectively manage the natural stress and anxiety that accompanies interviewing situations, and master how to ask questions which need answers and how to ask for the job.
  • Negotiating
Find out how a company decides what you are worth, the elements of a compensation package, how to research the “going rate,” and how to ask for more.
