Providing Social/Emotional Support to Your Gifted Learner (Section B)

As districts struggle with dwindling budgets and staggering layoffs, schools are finding it harder to sustain and further develop programs for gifted and talented students. Now more than ever, these students require academic and emotional support away from the classroom. This session will identify practical ways to support, nurture, and manage the psychological needs of high ability learners both at home and within the school setting. Participants will learn how the common traits of gifted students impact their social and emotional development.
