Learn how to find a focus for your web journal or blog and learn the strategies needed to connect with your reader. Class exercises and activities will help you access memories, emotions and other elements of your imagination to craft personal narratives into unique journal content. A review of writing skills will add style and structure to your journal entries and increase the impact of your writing. Student must have access to internet service to use open-source software.

Catherine D. Reynolds, M.S. coordinates the writing and editing of administrative policy information at UC Irvine. For over a decade she has designed and developed Web site architecture, and created policy and other professional communications for online publications. Throughout her career she has worked to help a variety of writers clarify their ideas and use technology to effectively communicate with their intended audience. Her Web journal features book reviews and travel essays.
