Gain the knowledge you need to make sound decisions regarding your career in law or as a paralegal. Understand the complexities of the legal field and explore career possibilities which interest you. Expand your knowledge of the specialty areas of law; legal terminology; the judicial court system; respective roles of the attorney, legal assistant/paralegal, client, judge and jury; and legal career opportunities in a variety of settings. Acquire the knowledge you need to start your career out right. All students without previous law-related work experience must enroll in this course before completion of the first six months of coursework; it is optional for others. Offered on a pass/no pass basis only.
Stanley R. Steinberg, J.D., attorney at law, private practice, Newport Beach. Mr. Steinberg has been an attorney for over 25 years. He has worked for the Public Defenders office, has acted as Temporary Judge, is an experienced trial attorney, and a family law practitioner in Orange County for the past 20 years.
