Online: Civil Litigation III (Section 1)

A required course in the Paralegal Certificate Program.
Augmenting the concepts and techniques learned in Civil Litigation I and II, this course explores the law and procedures in bringing cases to trial and collecting judgments. Topics include: law and motion; summary judgment; trial setting procedures; arbitration and alternative dispute resolution; trial preparation and strategy; as well as judgments, post trial motions, and appeals. Practical exercises and opportunities to prepare documents are integrated throughout the course. This course is conducted through our online course management system. In addition, students are required to participate in 1-hour synchronous discussions. A computer and phone is required. Please refer to the Paralegal Online FAQs.
