Management, Leadership and Team Building in the Project Environment (Section 1)

A required course in the Certificate Program in Project Management. An elective in the Certificate Programs in Business Analyst and Web Intelligence.
The success of projects is dependant upon people and how effectively they work and communicate with one another. You will reflect upon your role as a manager/ leader within a project management framework. Explore concepts of human behavior, motivation, problem solving, decision-making, influence, conflict management, and organization structure. Build skills in recognizing and managing project stakeholders, communications, team development, and working with virtual team members, via presentations, case studies, readings, essays, and discussions. Prerequisite: Mgmt X442.28, Introduction to Project Management Principles and Practices. This course is approved for 29 PDUs from PMI. Eligible participants will earn up to 30 hours of general MCLE credit based on attendance.
