An elective course in the Certificate Program in Project Management and Business of Teaching Online. Learn the skills needed to enhance the outcomes of managing projects. Gain knowledge of the fundamentals of project scheduling and the key area of knowledge for planning projects using Microsoft Project for Windows 2007. This course will emphasize the importance of defining the total project with the use of a Work Breakdown Structure (WBS); then formally issuing and controlling the project with the use of a Project Master Schedule (PMS). This course is approved for 14 PDUs from PMI.
John N. Chen, M.B.A., is Manager of Energy Development Programs for County of Orange. His extensive experience includes 16 years with two of the country's largest engineering and construction companies, Fluor Daniel and the Ralph M. Parsons Company, where he was involved in management of worldwide projects up to $3 billion. He is a registered professional engineer and general contractor.
