An elective course in the Certificate Program in Project Management, an elective course in the Certificate Programs in Business Analyst and Web Intelligence, and an elective in Management and Leadership for Engineering and Technical Professionals Specialized Studies Program.
Learn how the structured approach of business process improvement (BPI) can be performed at all levels in an organization. Through a series of training activities, you will learn how to select, design, sell, implement, and institutionalize the changes necessary for effective BPI. Determine the process flow of a project, evaluate ineffective use of time, and change the process for improved effectiveness. In addition, collaborate on a class project that will allow for application of techniques to organization's processes and procedures. This course is approved for 24 PDUs from PMI. Eligible participants will earn up to 24 hours of general MCLE credit based on attendance.

Diane Altwies, M.B.A, PMP. She has over 20 years managing software development projects and over 13 years experience in the Insurance, Financial services and Healthcare industries. Her background includes a broad range of experience from project costing responsibilities for navy computers, to implementing and integrating a vendor bill review system for a large national insurance company, to launching new software products for a local software development firm, and in 2000 launched her own consulting firm. She has a Masters degree in Finance and Marketing and a BA degree in MIS & Production Management, both from the University of South Florida in Tampa. As an active member of the Orange County PMIŽ Chapter, she currently holds the Editor position for the monthly Milestones newsletter.
