A required course in the Web Design and Development Specialized Studies program. This course is conducted through our online course management system. In addition, there are two scheduled WebEx sessions as shown below. Have you ever looked at a web page only to see confusing graphics, crowded text, and unattractive combinations of colors? Well-designed web pages let users find the information they want quickly and easily, and with the least amount of visual stress. This course will cover best practices for web layout and design enabling you to produce attractive, visually stimulating, and compelling web pages. No web developer's toolkit is complete without this knowledge. Prerequisites: I&CSCI X471.03 Web Development with HTML or familiarity with web page concepts.

Kevin Hanegan, B.S., is the author of 4 programming books: Building State-of-the-Art Web Pages, Custom CGI Scripting with Perl, Practical Guide to Curl, and Building Solutions with the DecisionSite Analytics Platform. He has worked for a variety of software companies, universities, and corporate training centers as a course developer, trainer and consultant. He currently is Director of Educational Services for TIBCO Software.
