Effective writing is a powerful tool in the business environment. Learn how to articulate your thoughts clearly, concisely and with a style that gets your writing read. Improve your skill at using this powerful instrument by learning to select and use appropriate formats, use the correct medium and adjust your writing style accordingly, as well as identify your objective and communicate it clearly. You'll also learn to spot, avoid and correct the most common writing pitfalls and gain valuable experience analyzing, writing and revising a complete spectrum of business documents. From a simple interoffice memo to a twenty-page business proposal, learn how to put good writing to work for you.

Susan Solomon, M.A., M.B.A., is a Fullbright scholar teaching graduate level public relations at American Univeristy in Yerevan, Armenia. She has taught marketing and public relations for 11 years at University of California, Irvine and has alsoe been a faculty member at University of California, Los Angeles, Chapman University (Orange, California) and California State University, Fullerton. Ms. Solomon has served in marketing and public relations leadership rolse for a number of organizations. Most recently, she was the vice president of marketing and public relations for Schools First Federal Credit Union, the fifth largest credit union in the United States. Past positions have included vice president of marketing and corporate communications, MemorialCare medical Centers of Southern California and director of marketing/public relations for St. John's Hospital and Health Care in Santa Monica, California. Currently Ms. Solomon is writing a book using social marketing for professional networking. She is the author of Building Powerful Health Care Brands, published by Health Care Communications. Additionally, she is a frequent write for Strategic Health Care marketing and eHealthcare Trends and a contributing author to www.marketingprofs.com.
