Gain the knowledge and skills needed to develop distributed applications using the Microsoft .NET Framework and Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. This workshop focuses on building distributed applications by using Web services, remoting, Microsoft Message Queuing, and serviced components Prerequisites: Ability to: manage a solution environment using Microsoft Visual Studio's IDE and related tools; understand the .NET framework and common language runtime (CLR); program an application using a .NET compliant language (such as VB or C#); use XML; work with application domains, delegates and events, and use threads.

Jason Wei, B.S., MCT, MCSD, MCSE, MCAD, OCP, is a senior web service engineer for Toshiba America. He has ten years of software and embedded system development experience. Over the past five years, Wei has been working on several large-scale enterprise solutions using Microsoft.NET technologies, which involves ASP.NET, AJAX, C#, VB.NET, XML web services, .NET Remoting, .NET security, Oracle, SQL Server, Windows Forms applications, ADO.NET, RFID solutions, and Microsoft Office Automation. Wei’s expertise also includes C++ and C# programming, embedded system (using Linux) design, and real-time system design. He holds ten U.S. patents.
