Mass media ethics is the study of moral and professional conduct within the communication field, including public relations, advertising, new media and graphic communication. This course, which assumes that corporate social responsibility is good for business, shows communications practitioners-through case study analysis--how to recognize and confront potential ethical issues they might face in their careers. Topics will include model social corporate programs, how to choose social causes, gaining employee support for responsible behavior, and understanding the importance of personal values, among others.
