3D Programming using Windows Presentation Foundation (Section 1)

I&C SCI X403.39  (3.5)

This ten-meeting instructor-led course provides students with the knowledge and skills to create 3D effects using Windows Presentation Foundation. Class provides information on the new WPF 3D API in code (C# and VB.NET) and XAML. This course is intended for application developers who know how to build simple WPF applications in .NET, and how to use the common features of the .NET base class library. Please note that the nature of this topic requires linear algebra (vectors, matrix transforms, and quaternion) but students can be successful in this course without prior extensive mathematics background. Prerequisites: Before attending this course, students should have intermediate experience developing applications using .NET 2.0 and building simple WPF applications using Visual Studio. Assumed WPF experience should include XAML, Styles, and Animation support for 2D elements and basic controls.
