Business and Financial Mathematics (Section 1)

Suggested prerequisite course in the Personal Financial Planning Certificate.
Math is one of the keys to business success. Gain the competitive edge by acquiring or refreshing your practical mathematic skills using real-world examples of asset and bond valuation, pricing, cash flow, time value of money, retirement savings/disposition, real estate financing, accounting, financial statement analysis, budgeting, project go or no-go decisions (e.g., return on investment, net present value, etc.), and rate volume variance analysis. Both the HP12c and excel are utilized. Last refund date is Sept 23, 2009. Individuals with no prior experience in the financial industry are strongly encouraged to take this course. A HP-12C financial calculator is required.
