A required course in the Certificate Program in Personal Financial Planning. Get an in-depth, working knowledge of the investments essential to your job, including security laws and regulations, time value of money, risk analysis, common stock valuation, expected rates of return, market indicators, monetary policy, fundamental and technical analysis, bonds, yield curves, preferred stock, convertible bonds, options, warrants, futures, mortgages, mutual funds, portfolio construction and management and capital theory. Whether you are joining the profession, or a practitioner interested in advancing your career, this course is vital. Prerequisite: Mgmt X433, Survey of Personal Financial Planning. Art Cordts, CFP, CIMA, M.B.A., is a financial advisor with UBS Financial Services, Inc. He has an extensive background in financial planning and investment planning. His area of expertise within financial planning includes retirement planning and investment management. His business is primarily in fee-based services based on assets under management. Cordts serves on the boards of several local community organizations and non-profits.
