An elective course for TESL. Learn the most current practices in the teaching of standard American English pronunciation to all English language learners. Master techniques for teaching the elements of English pronunciation including vowels, consonants, rhythm, and intonation.
Seija Tafoya, M.A. in Applied and Anthropological Linguistics, has taught at UCI Extension since 1980. She has served as an English as a Second Language (ESL) instructor, ESL teacher trainer, and accent reduction instructor for non-native professionals. A native of Finland, Ms. Tafoya speaks and is familiar with several languages.
