This six-meeting instructor-led course provides students with the knowledge and skills to build and configure a Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) solution. This course is intended for application developers who know how to build and consume Web services in .NET and how to use the common features of the base class library. Students can be successful in this course WITHOUT prior knowledge of advanced WS-*, WSE, service lifecycle management, and diagnostics. Prerequisites: Before attending this course, students should have intermediate experience developing applications using previous versions of Microsoft Visual Studio.

Peter Partch, M.S., MCP, is an independent consultant specializing in Microsoft Windows user mode and kernel mode development. He has been working as a professional software developer since 1983 and has been working exclusively with Windows technologies since 1992. Peter has been teaching classes at UCI since 1997 and has taught: Win32 development using C/C++, MFC, COM development in C++, ATL, .Net Framework, .Net Security (including CAS and the various crypto classes), and Windows Forms.
