Advanced Excel Tips and Tricks (Section 1)

This course is designed for those who want to learn advanced Excel tips and tricks to solve many daily simple and complex problems quickly. Students learn about user forms, loops in VBA, array variables combine the lookup and match formulas, creating a PivotTable report, fill a listbox-control with values, compare two worksheets using VBA, nested formulas, debugging formulas, customizing toolbars, absolute and relative toggle, run a macro by clicking a cell, how to copy and transpose formulas without the reference changing and turn a list upside-down. Prerequisites: Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Victor T. Wu, M.S., is a CTO and co-founder of EmpowerTrain, an Irvine-based company that offers high-end training on technologies including Oracle Database, Sun Solaris, Microsoft technologies. He has worked in the information systems field for the past 25 years as developer, information architect, director, and CIO. His expertise includes C++, Java programming, Oracle database and SQL Server development, high availability and performance tuning, Sun Solaris security and system tuning. He is frequently involved in large scale database and system tuning projects in San Francisco, Los Angeles, and San Diego. Wu is a UCLA graduate, Oracle Certified DBA, Oracle Certified Developer and holder of three Oracle Masters. Wu received UC Irvine Extension's Distinguished Instructor Award (2003) and UCLA Extension's Distinguished Instructor Award (2007).
