New instructors are required to participate in the new instructor orientation session held on a Saturday morning prior to the start of each quarter. All orientation dates are listed on our Academic Calendar.

Guidelines for Effective Teaching and Learning (workshop)
10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
This orientation is your very first instructor event. The program will acquaint you with UC Irvine Extension along with the policies and procedures that affect you as an instructor. You must be familiar with this information before you enter the classroom. The workshop portion of the event is a free two-hour class designed to make you better teachers of adult learners.
