OLLI at UCI

OLLI at UCI is a dynamic group of seasoned adults—both retired and semi-retired—who enjoy literature, history, science, the arts and travel.

OLLI at UCI members are intellectually curious, interested in discovering new facts, sharing ideas, and building a social connection with other like-minded individuals of their community.

Our Mission

The Mission of the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute is to enhance the quality of life for mature adults bypromoting intellectual growth in a center for senior learning. In collaboration with the University ofCalifornia, Irvine, we provide unique educational experiences in an environment of social interaction.

Fall semester courses have begun, but there is still time to become an OLLI member and still room in many of the courses to enroll. Check the online catalog for available courses.

For more information on how to become a member, click above on Membership/Enrollment page and follow the simple directions.
Each year, OLLI at UCI provides two-semesters of exceptional learning—a fall term (September-January) and a spring term (February-June).

Classes are taught by UC Irvine faculty, instructors from other local universities and colleges, emeriti, outside professionals and qualified OLLI peers.  Classes meet near the UC Irvine campus.  Most classes involve three to five two-hour meetings.
OLLI at UCI curriculum includes the riches of science, arts, humanities and social sciences.  Topics are carefully balanced, offering literature, performing and visual arts, history, memoir writing, current events, Shakespeare, film analysis, environmental affairs, levels of the Internet, domestic and foreign relations, and world cultures.
