SC 201 ANIMATRONICS
Knowledge of the anatomy of animals, both living and extinct, is central to realistic animation and digital effects and is also employed in art, and theme park engineering. Today's speaker will discuss how his research and expertise has been applied to more than thirty feature film projects of firms such as Disney, Dream Works-Pixar and Sony Pictures.
Presenter: Stuart M. Sumida, PhD, California State University, San Bernardino. Dr. Sumida oversees the Laboratory of Vertebrate Paleontology at CSU San Bernardino and is Director of the Joint CSU-Field Museum-Disney-McDonald's Tyrannosaurus Project.
