SC 213 ARMCHAIR HIKES IN O.C.
Sit back, relax and let your eyes do the walking as we explore some of the County's open spaces and parks. Learn about the history of the Irvine Ranch cattle operations and the impact on Bommer Canyon. See the wildflowers of spring and amazing vistas of the San Joaquin Hills. Explore the long history of Peter's Canyon Regional Park. Visit Round Canyon, at the heart of the Santiago Fire of 2007, one year later and see the recovery of the area and the residual damage. Discover a little known gem for you and your grandchildren to explore.
Presenter/Developer: Lonnie Horn is a certified docent naturalist for the City of Irvine and an OLLI member. She has been hiking Orange County's open spaces for 8+ years and is actively involved in various habitat restoration projects.
