THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF WINE (SE 5)
SE 5 THE WONDERFUL WORLD OF WINE
An OLLI Fund-Raising Event
So many wines - so little time! In this course we will try to shorten the time span by discussing the how, why, what and where of the wonderful world of wine. We will diffuse much of the confusion surrounding wine: how is it made and why, where is it made and why, and what are the differences in the various areas where wine is made? What are the new wines and varietals in the marketplace? What wines pair best with what foods? A basic understanding of these topics will optimize your enjoyment of one of life's real pleasures. Join us for some sociability, entertainment and, of course, some very good "thinking out of the box" tastings! Bring 1 wine glass to our first session and 2 glasses to subsequent sessions. Salute!
