Membership/Enrollment

Full Membership

Membership in OLLI is your gateway to enjoying all our exciting programs. Membership fee is $150 per person for a full academic year (September-June), payable in August. You can also purchase membership by the semester—Fall (September-January 15) and Spring (January 16 – June) for $80 each. Please note that if you purchase Fall membership and then also want to add Spring you will be charged $80 a semester or $160 a year versus full academic membership at $150. Your membership in OLLI allows you to enroll in a robust selection of courses at no additional cost. Also offered are a series of special events that frequently have a fee to cover transportation, ticket, meal (when appropriate) expense Other special offerings include travel programs and special UCI events.

Course Enrollment

Course Enrollment is triggered by completing the Membership/Enrollment form. Please refer to your catalog or visit our Courses page to determine which ones you would like to take. Follow the instructions on the form to become a member and to indicate the courses you wish to take. Please make sure to complete a separate form for each member. Every effort to enroll you in at least 4 of your requested courses and 4 of your special event requests (if made) each semester will be made. Course enrollment is done through a random selection process based on available space in each course. This is done to insure the most equitable member enrollment. If, after enrolling in a course, you find that you cannot attend, please notify the course facilitator promptly so that your place in the class can be filled by the next person on the waiting list.

Membership/Enrollment Process Tips

1. Send a separate check for membership and course fees (if applicable) made payable to the Regents of The University of California) along with the membership/enrollment form. Please note that most courses are included as part of your membership.
   
2. Please complete a separate form for each member (e.g. one for you and one for your spouse if you both want to be members and enroll).
   
3. Enroll early. Classes fill up quickly. Make sure you are acquainted with the enrollment deadline on the form.
   
4. Retain a copy of the membership/enrollment for your records. You will receive a confirmation schedule after the enrollment period has ended. Please note the main web page for details on when these will be mailed.
   
5. If you wish to enroll in a course after the confirmations have been mailed, you should telephone the course facilitator whose number can be found in the catalog.
