Rockefeller appointed to arts commission

Kirwan Rockefeller, director of UC Irvine Extension's Arts, Humanities and Fund-Raising programs, has recently been appointed to the Newport Beach Arts Commission. The Commission advises the City Council on all artistic, aesthetic and cultural aspects of the city and encourages programs for the cultural enrichment of the community.

He has also been appointed vice president of the Newport Beach Film Festival. Before joining UC Irvine Extension, Rockefeller served as director of education for the Entertainment Industries Council and Universal Studios, as well as an assistant professor at the California Graduate Institute.
