UC Irvine Extension students may apply directly to private lenders for funding. Eligibility is based on credit history. When a private loan is approved, Extension’s Office of the Registrar team is required to certify costs and enrollment. The maximum amount that a student may borrow is the total cost of attendance (course fees), along with text book, parking, candidacy fees, and any other course –related expenses.
Education loans are usually repaid after graduation may be deferred until after graduate school, and often have very low interest rates.
You can apply for a loan whether you are taking one course, multiple courses, are pursuing a certificate program specialized study program, or are taking courses through ACCESS UCI.
