Key CareerLoan® For Continuing Education

Online Application Process

  • Go to the Student Loan section of www.key.com.
  • School information for your application: UC Irvine Extension, address is PO Box 6050, Irvine, CA 92616-6050; phone number is (949) 824-5191. Please use this checklist to help you complete the application process.
  • Write in the expected graduation date. Fill in the loan amount you desire and write in a date that is 10 to 20 business days prior to class start date in the "Disbursement Period (1)" box.
  • You will receive a decision regarding your loan request within 24 to 48 hours via your email address. If you have a connection error, call Key Bank at (800) KEY-LEND.
  • If your application is not pre-approved you should call Key Bank at (800) KEY-LEND during business hours and speak with a credit counselor to have your loan request reviewed for reconsideration.
  • When you are pre approved you will receive the promissory note which needs to be signed and accompanied by the requested supporting documents and mailed back.
  • If the loan is approved, a student loan check made payable to the school will be mailed to UCI Extension.
  • UC Irvine Extension will contact you when student loan check has been received.
