Short Term Parking
You may purchase a short term permit from a Parking and Transportation Services
attendant located in one of the on campus parking structures or from a permit
dispenser machine. Please have exact change when using all permit dispenser
machines. The permit dispenser machine located on East Peltason accepts credit
cards only. Permit dispensers located at the North entrance of the Mesa Parking
Structure (MPS) and at the Anteater Drive entrance to the Anteater Parking
Structure (APS) accept MasterCard and Visa.

Parking Restrictions
Signs are posted at the entrance to each parking area indicating which type of
permit is valid in that area. Check your permit for valid dates and times.
- The UC Irvine Extension evening permit is valid from 5pm to 10pm, Monday through
Friday, and 7am to 10pm Saturday and Sunday, in unmarked stalls and in AR
Preferred stalls after 5 pm only (except AR Preferred stalls
marked "Enforced 24 Hours").
- The UC Irvine Extension all day permit is valid in unmarked stalls every day
from 7am to 10pm and in AR Preferred stalls after 5 pm only
(except AR Preferred stalls marked "Enforced 24 Hours").
UC Irvine Extension permits are NOT valid in:
- AR Preferred stalls marked “Enforced 24 Hours”
- Resident Only parking areas
- Posted special events parking areas
- Disabled, Medical, Service or metered stalls and parking areas
- Student Health Center, Lot 19A

Refunds
No refunds available on parking permits (except on courses cancelled or discontinued by UC Irvine Extension. Permits must be returned in order to receive the refund.)
UC Irvine Extension is not responsible for lost or stolen permits. In such cases, you may purchase another permit from University Extension or use the curbside dispensers each time you park. |

Obtaining A Parking Permit
When you enroll in a UC Irvine Extension course, you may purchase a quarterly UC
Irvine Extension parking permit. Your class schedule determines the type of
permit available to you (evening or all day). UC Irvine Extensions permits
expire at the end of the scheduled quarter and the expiration date is listed on
your permit. Your permit is valid beginning on the start date of the quarter for
which you are enrolled. Please visit our
Academic Calendar for a list of important dates.
- Evening permit: $34.00*
Valid 5pm-10pm, Mon-Fri and all day Saturday and Sunday.
- Day permit: $74.00*
Valid 7am-10pm, Monday through Sunday.
*Parking fees are subject to change by authority of UC Irvine Parking and Transportation Services. Oversized vehicles may be subject to additional fees.
ACCESS UCI and UC Irvine Extension International Programs Students
You may purchase a permit directly from the Parking and Transportation Services
office, Building 7, Room 200, Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm.
Motorcycle Parking Permits
All motorcycles and mopeds must display valid Motorcycle Parking Permits. This
permit must be purchased in person at the Parking and Transportation Services
office, Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 4:00pm. Please direction questions
and/or comments concerning Motorcycle Parking Permits to the Parking and
Transportation Services office at

Helpful Hints
The parking area nearest to the UC Irvine Extension complex is the Social
Sciences Parking Structure (SSPS). You may enter and exit the structure at
Campus and Stanford. To reach the UC Irvine Extension complex, exit the Social
Sciences Parking Structure at the pedestrian walkway. Cross Pereira Drive and
cross Lot 3A on your left. Walk toward University Extension Building A (#233 -
Women’s Opportunity Center).
Make sure to give yourself ample time to park on the UCI Campus.
